Located in POLK COUNTY, FL — Despite the arrival of the Christmas season, not everyone is in a festive mood.

Swartzwelder argued that it was crucial to facilitate discussions about mental health throughout the holiday season. People should not “suffer in silence” from despair since doing so is “very important.”

Thus, The Libertore Fund for Children has acquired a suicide prevention awareness bench from Josh’s Benches for Awareness.

The Libertore Fund for Children: It provide funding for purchasing a bright yellow bench, which was then donat-ed to Christina Park in Lakeland. Those needing assistance can dial 988, as stated in the inscription on the nearby bench. The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline can be reach using the three-digit number 988.

Swartzwelder explained the motivation behind the Libertore Fund for Children’s work: “The Libertore Fund for Children’s mission is to make a difference in the lives of at-risk children by eliminating barriers to their success so that they may realise a brighter future.”

Children, adolescents, and adults are often discourag-ed from seeking help due to the stigma surrounding mental illness. They feel ashamed to discuss difficulties they may have or observe in others due to mental health issues. She emphasised that a proper diagnosis and treatment are essential for overcoming mental health issues.

Senior planner for Polk County’s Parks and Natural Resources Division Tracy Mullins remarked, “This suicide prevention awareness bench is a great addition to Christina Park.” People suffering from sadness and anxiety will learn from this that they are not alone and that assistance is accessible.

The nonprofit organisation Josh’s Benches for Awareness’s goal is to raise awareness and educate young people about suicide so that they can take preventative measures. Over $1,500 was spent by the Libertore Fund for Children on a bench at Christina Park, and another bench may be found in the lobby of the Dream Center in Lakeland. To that end, it is currently attempting to set up an additional bench.

To remove the shame associated with seeking help, Swartzwelder argues, “these benches are a method to increase awareness on mental health issues and offer acceptable options.”
